ABOUT

THIS BLOG:

1. was created for my 2009 portfolio class at sva with paul sahre, lindsay ballant and jessica zadnik.

2. will grow and change throughout the year and maybe beyond.

3. began as an investigation into meanings, consequences, and experiments of “overlooked/overlooking.” it then evolved into a daily sky-diary (on-going  but not being posted in this location), then most recently into a thesis project forum entitled “mom & pop.”

4. will act as a way to explore the “mom & pop” project in a public way. showcasing my designs, drafts, though processes, thinking, research, and requests for feedback from those who wish to do so.

5. began as a place trying to get people to open their eyes, be more aware of what they’re missing and taking for granted everyday (small or large.) to notice beauty in the ignored, see the unseen, and to find humor in the ordinary. “mom & pop” sincerely ties into this idea, and was one route i decided to explore in this class.
